4 reasons why the Volkswagen Kombi is the perfect crew van

If you’ve looked through our vans for hire here at Intack, you’ve probably spotted that the Volkswagen Kombi has pride of place amongst our range. There’s a lot of good reasons for that, not least of which is that it strikes the perfect balance between versatility, drivability, and cargo space.  In fact, whatever job you’ve got in mind, there’s a decent chance that the Volkswagen Kombi is the van for you. Here are just four of the biggest reasons why!

Car-like Driving

It’s a rarity that you find yourself a van that feels like a car whilst driving. The Kombi offers this luxury. With a variety of safety systems and an updated steering system, it makes for a particularly enjoyable driving experience, whether that’s the high speeds of the motorway or manoeuvring through towns. The opportunity to feel the joys of the road whilst driving a bulky van is something Volkswagen has taken seriously with their Kombi and that’s something you can definitely feel once you’re in the driver’s seat yourself.

Modern HUD and Infotainment

Volkswagen also went all out with their update on the Kombi’s infotainment system, giving the HUD a facelift that brings it up to speed with modern cars. The colour touch screen offers DAB digital radio and, better still, allows for Bluetooth connectivity, meaning you can sync sat-nav apps from your phone directly onto the screen. This makes getting from place to place far easier and means that finding the perfect radio station for those long drives won’t be hampered by a lack of signal. The Kombi also comes with USB ports, meaning that you can keep your phone charged whilst on the road.

Spacious front and back

When hiring a crew van, it’s natural that you’d want it to have ample space for both passengers and gear – the Kombi ticks both of these boxes. With two full-size seats in the front and three in the back, your team should have no difficulty fitting into this van and even with two rows of seats, there is still a nice amount of loading space left in the back! With a total load length of up to 2,983mm and a width of 1,700mm, this offers plenty of space to fit in the necessary equipment for your jobs, meaning the crew and the gear can get to their next workplace safely.

Comfort and Durability

The comfort of a van often goes underappreciated, with people prioritising practicality above anything else. However, it’s always great to get the best of both, and that’s exactly what you’re getting with the Kombi. Each seat is made with soft but durable upholstery to ensure long-lasting comfort and they also offer lumbar support which can be heavily beneficial in preventing back pain during longer trips. The Kombi also has rubber matted flooring, which makes the vehicle a lot easier to keep clean, meaning you get both comfort and style!

Whether you’re looking for flexi van hire or daily van hire, the Volkswagen Kombi may just be the ideal crew van for your business. A modern van, that drives like a car and comes with an array of updated features… call us biased, but we think VW has hit the nail on the head with this one!
