Booked a Luton for 1 month, advised it was cheaper on my own policy and at time of booking they knew it was a motor trade policy and the reason why i was renting the van. Went to collect and the advisor took all details from me and then refused the van as she wanted to check with my insurance company it would be covered! It was covered and I provided proof of the same. Intack have messed me around and my trip was booked based on the renting of this van. Thanks a lot for nothing and I'll never use you again neither will I recommend you. Considering I first started using you over 10 years ago, covering the vans with my own motor trade policy and never had any issues, it just shows your double standards. Nevertheless if my insurance cover wasn't adequate why didn't she offer to cover it on your own insurance? I was quoted and extra 70 per week with your insurance by Russell. She just let me walk out! This whole experience has left me very disappointed and feels somewhat surreal. You have so many vehicles parked up yet she refused me a van and let me walk out? I just hope it wasn't anything personal as I had a van on Saturday for 1 day and it all went smoothly. Very confused.
Intack response: Hi Mr Khan,Thank you for your review and Im sorry you feel you didnt receive our best service when you came into the office to collect your van.Before we hire any vehicle to a customer on their own insurance we have to check that their insurance covers our vehicle fully comprehensive for the purpose the customer intends to use it, when asked the purpose of your hire you said that you where delivering bathrooms.In our considerable experience Motor Trade Insurance is not valid unless the vehicle it covers is being used for Motor Trade purposes (not bathroom delivery)We offered to contact your insurance company to clarify that you indeed as you suggested did have sufficient cover however you chose to leave the premises.I have spoken with the reception staff involved and Im happy that we dealt with the issue appropriately, as you have said yourself you took a vehicle on our insurance on Saturday without any issues.As you have also contacted our customer service email we will not respond to any further comments on this forum.Thank you again for your review and previous custom.
